If you like Xiaomi devices for the value-for-money factor that they offer, but don’t like MIUI? Well, you must have tried to install stock Android ROMs on your Xiaomi devices, and CyanogenMod is one of the most preferred ROMs for Android devices due to the performance improvement and customisation abilities it provides. Now you can install the latest publicly available version of Android, 5.1.1 Lollipop on Xiaomi Mi 3 and Xiaomi Mi 4.

Xiaomi Mi 4

CyanogenMod 12.1 ROM that is based on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop is now available for Xiaomi Mi 3 and Xiaomi Mi 4. CM12.1 provides custom theming support, LiveDisplay screen optimisation, notifications manager, ambient display, gestures, and other small things.  However, note that these are nightly ROMs, which means that you might run into bugs here and there. You should understand that the ROM won’t be stable, but if you know the risks of using nightly ROMs, you can hit the download link mentioned below and download the ROM.

You can find the step-by-sep instructions to install CM12.1 on Mi 3 and Mi 4 in the link that is mentioned below. You might want to know that Xiaomi has recently announced a newer version of its homegrown ROM, MIUI 7, and it will be released for all the smartphones and tablets that company released in India. MIUI 7 comes with extensive theming support, four new system UIs, video ringtones, reduced RAM usage, speed and battery life improvements, Quick OTP system, smart SMS filter, and many more features.

mi ui ROM is hugely popular….with tons of features not present in stock android Roms and in cynogen ROM. there is no reason why one would go for cynogen mod over miui.
even micromax is going to design its own ui despite having cynogenmod in their yu series phones.

Coz their nightly releases are stable than miui so called stable versions.
Based on my personal experience with redmi 1s

No thanks, buddy.. I have had a horrible experience with cyanogen Mod on my Galaxy S4.. took an oath not to use this buggy shit anymore..

Please share your experience.
