While 3G services are yet to pick up in the country, manufacturers are banking upon high end 4G LTE services. Xolo is the newest entrant in the segment. The phone will be the first 4G LTE enabled handset by an Indian manufacturer. In the first week of the next month, the company is expected to launch its debut 4G LTE based device named LT 900. Although, not much is known about the pricing and specifications, we have got a few details.

The critical issue is that currently apart from Airtel, no other telecom operator is offering 4G LTE services in the country. Even Airtel does not offer this service in the PAN India circles and has limited presence in Delhi, Chandigarh, Kolkata, Bangalore and Pune et al. Even here, Airtel does not offer 4G LTE based voice based services. Hence, either the company goes for a tie up with Airtel and rolls out the device in these limited circles or looks for some other operator who is willing to roll out these services.

With the current state of availability of 4G LTE services in the country, the device looks futuristic but with the ongoing revolution in the mobile data services, you never know if this is the ice-breaking device. However, since the launch date is not into the deep future, we will soon know how Xolo is going about it. Let us wait till then.
