Looks like Indian smartphone brands have finally woke up to the call of providing software updates to their devices. Micromax's Android 4.4 KitKat plan was leaked a while ago. Recently, Xolo has updated the Xolo Q1000 Opus to Android 4.4 KitKat. Now, the company has announced that it plans to push the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update to Xolo Q700S, Xolo Q1010, Xolo Q1010i and Xolo Q3000 by June 2014.
Xolo is the first Indian smartphone brand to officially announce the Android 4.4 KitKat update to its smartphones which are already being sold in the market. It has also announced that it will release new phones with Android KitKat soon. The new version of operating system comes with smoother performance, Google Caller ID, better RAM management, SMS Hangouts integration and immersive mode for multimedia playback among other features.
