Xiaomi is one of the largest OEM manufacturers in the country and there is no need to boast about the prowess of the Chinese manufacturer when it comes to selling smartphones in the Indian market. The Chinese OEM has established its stronghold in India thanks to its affordable smartphones which come with new features and have resonated with the Indian buyers. However, Xiaomi is not only limited to selling smartphones and its portfolio includes other gadgets like TVs, fitness trackers, and more. But, until now, Xiaomi has not yet introduced any smart watch for the buyers. But, that is likely to change in a matter of a few weeks. Only a few days back, Xiaomi revealed that it is working on a smart watch. But, today it seems that we are getting to see a glimpse of this watch as well. Currently, a lot of the information about this watch is under speculation and there is little that we can be sure of.

Xiaomi CEO Announces Two Colour Options for New Smart Watch

The first thing that strikes about the upcoming Xiaomi watch or the supposedly Mi Watch is the resemblance that it bears to the Apple Watch. It is likely that new watch from Xiaomi, the branding of whose remains unconfirmed as of yet, will likely sport a design which will be similar to that of the Apple Watch. Another thing to note about the new Xiaomi smart watch will be the colour variants. As per the image of the product, we are sure about two colour variants of this watch which includes the Silver and the Black variant. It is also worth noting that the new smart watch from Xiaomi is being designed by Mijia, which is a part of the Xiaomi ecosystem. Also, there are some watches from Mijia which are already retailing in the market and are available for purchase by the buyers, but the new model from Xiaomi is going to be different than the already launched models, both in design and in features. The company has also shared some information about this new model of the Xiaomi Watch.

The major hint about this new smart watch from Xiaomi comes from the Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun himself who has uploaded the image of the Xiaomi Watch itself. The CEO has also noted that the watch would be available in two colour options, including the Silver and the Black variant. The smartwatch also comes with a 3D curved glass on the top, which can be seen in the picture, and on the side, there is a crown as well.

Xiaomi Smart Watch Features

Mijia has indulged more information about this new smart watch and as per the post uploaded about the watch, we also get to see the thickness of the smart watch as well and on the side, we get to see a power button and a microphone as well which is placed beside the crown. Another major tip which the image from Mijia reveals is about the connectivity settings on the new smart watch. As per the information provided by Mijia, the new smart watch would be able to establish internet connectivity on its own and the new smartphone by Mijia would also come with eSIM connectivity.

Not only this, but other features on the new smart watch from Xiaomi would include NFC, GPS and Wi-Fi connectivity. The watch would also come with a large battery and is likely to sport the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 3100. In some of the other leaks which have surfaced a few weeks back, Xiaomi was revealed to be working on a smartwatch which was to sport WearOS. It is possible that the new watch which has been teased by Xiaomi CEO is the same watch. It is also worth noting that on November 5, Xiaomi is going to hold another major event and the Xiaomi Mi CC9 Pro smartphone and the new smartwatch are likely to be announced in this event.
