Xiaomi Sells Over Two Lakh Units of Redmi Note 7 During First Sale

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 went on sale in India on Wednesday, March 6, for the first ever time, and as it happens with all the Xiaomi phones, it went out of stock in the blink of an eye. The next sale of the Redmi Note 7 is set to happen on March 13 which is also the same day when the Redmi Note 7 Pro will also go on sale in the country for the first time. On Thursday, Xiaomi India Managing Director Manu Jain announced that over two lakh units of the Redmi Note 7 have been sold during the first sale. Jain further affirms that the Xiaomi India is working with the factories to stock up.




Jain informed this information via a tweet in which he mentioned, “#RedmiNote7: we had produced 200K+ units till this week, all of which went out of stock in just a few mins yesterday! ?? We are working with our factories to further increase production. Bigger volume for #RedmiNote7 & #48MP #RedmiNote7Pro going on sale next week on March 13.”

Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 7 and the Redmi Note 7 Pro in India on Feb 28 which is last week and ever since the launch the new Note has created quite a buzz in the industry. The Redmi Note 7 goes against phones like Realme 3, Samsung Galaxy M20, and Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 while the Redmi Note 7 Pro competes with Samsung’s newly launched Redmi Note 7 Pro.

Design wise the Redmi Note 7 and the Redmi Note 7 Pro look exactly the same with the dot drop notch, glass body, gradient finish and so much more. The Redmi Note 7 series of phones have several key highlights, one of them is the Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on both back and front. The presence of Gorilla Glass 5 makes the phones look beautiful and also sturdier. Most of the features of the Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro are the same apart of some difference in the hardware and camera department.

The Redmi Note 7 Pro is powered by Snapdragon 675 chipset with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage. The Redmi Note 7 comes with Snapdragon 660 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage. In India, the Redmi Note 7 Pro is available for a starting price of Rs 9,999 while the Redmi Note 7 Pro India price starts at Rs 13,999.
