Xiaomi has sent out media invites for an event to be held in India on November 22. As you can see in the image, the company will be adding a new Redmi smartphone to its existing lineup and it could be the Redmi Note 6 Pro. Closely observe the image and you'll be able to spot the notch, which is of course, as big as the one present on the Redmi Note 6 Pro. To recall, Xiaomi launched the Note 6 Pro in a couple of markets including China and Thailand, and India seems to be the next destination. The Redmi Note 6 Pro could possibly replace the Note 5 Pro in India, which according to various reports, is the best selling dual camera smartphone in the sub-continent.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro India Launch Details

As noted, Xiaomi might be launching the Redmi Note 6 Pro in India on November 22. The Note 6 Pro is a minor upgrade over the Note 5 Pro which could be the reason why Xiaomi is bringing it to the country this early. As for the price, the Note 6 Pro may retail at the same Rs 14,999 price tag, but at the same time, it's unknown whether Xiaomi is planning to discontinue the Note 5 Pro or decrease the price of the handset.

Same as the Redmi Note 5 Pro, the Redmi Note 6 Pro might arrive in 4GB, 6GB RAM variants, and both the variants are expected to come with 64GB of internal storage. Very recently, the Note 6 Pro with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage was spotted on benchmarking portal Geekbench, so maybe Xiaomi is bringing the base variant to India this time around.

Last year, to avoid the overlapping of prices with Redmi Note 5, Xiaomi did not bring the base variant of Redmi Note 5 Pro with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage to India. But this around, we might see the base variant launching in the country because the competition has become intense in the last few months in India with the likes of Realme 2 Pro, Honor 8X and Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro: Specifications and Features

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro brings major updates to cameras when compared to the Note 5 Pro. This time around, the Note 6 Pro, has dual cameras on the front and rear. The Note 5 Pro also featured two cameras on the rear side, but the setup is different this time around. Remember the Redmi Note 5 AI smartphone which was launched earlier this year in China? Well, the Note 6 Pro features similar cameras as the Note 5 AI. The phone features a 12MP primary sensor on the rear side with a f/1.9 aperture along with a 5MP secondary depth sensor. On the front of the Note 6 Pro, there are dual cameras of 20MP+2MP, and yes, the notch houses the two cameras.

Other specifications of the smartphone remain similar. The Note 6 Pro features all-metal body and has a 6.26-inch Full HD+ display on the front. Under the hood, it has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset, clubbed with 4GB/6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. There's a hybrid microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 256GB.

The Note 6 Pro might run MIUI 10 out of the box and is backed by a 4000mAh battery. Xiaomi might launch the product in three colours- Black, Blue and Rose Gold.
