Xiaomi Redmi K30 will soon go official as part of the company’s Redmi 5G project. In China, Redmi is an independent brand and the company’s General Manager Lu Weibing has posted some information regarding the Redmi K30. Earlier this year, Xiaomi made Redmi an independent brand in China and the company even launched Redmi K20 series as its first flagship smartphones. The Redmi K20 Pro also reached several other markets carrying an affordable price tag. The upcoming Redmi K30 smartphone will have 5G connectivity support and it will be first Xiaomi phone to ship with a punch-hole display. The Redmi K20 series featured a pop-up selfie camera, but the upcoming Redmi K30 series will ship with a punch-hole display.

Xiaomi Redmi K30: What We Know So Far?
Xiaomi’s Redmi K30 may be launched sometime early next year and it will not be the affordable 5G smartphone to launch. However, Redmi has officially confirmed it would not be the affordable 5G smartphone to purchase when it launches. Right now, we don’t have any specifications of the Redmi K30, but the company officially revealed an early look of the smartphone at an event in China.
Going by those revealed images, the Redmi K30 will feature dual selfie cameras and dual punch-hole cutout which looks pretty much identical to the Samsung Galaxy S10+. Also, it will be the first phone from Xiaomi/Redmi to feature a punch-hole display. This year, almost all the smartphone brands went with the pop-up selfie camera tech to offer full-screen experience. But in 2020, it seems like the punch-hole display tech will make a comeback as the OnePlus 8 is also expected to come with the same technology.
