Xiaomi Mi CC9 will be the first smartphone under new series from the Chinese handset maker. The Xiaomi Mi CC series will be targeted at the youth just like how Realme works and the first phone in the series will be launched on July 2 in China. Just a few days ago, Xiaomi officially confirmed the death of Mi Max and Mi Note series and also said that it would be coming up with a new series targeted at the youth. And the first phone under the new series will be dubbed as Xiaomi Mi CC9 whose first photo has been revealed by the company today. The Mi CC9 will sport a glass back, USB Type-C port on the bottom and gradient design on the rear side. Also, the official image reveals the presence of triple rear cameras and it's a Huawei P30 Pro lookalike from the back. The Mi CC9's China launch is just a week away and it's unknown at the moment whether the phone will make into the Indian market or not.

Xiaomi Mi CC9: Confirmed Specifications and Features

First of all, let's talk about the image released by Xiaomi today. The Xiaomi Mi CC9 will have vertically stacked triple rear cameras and the colour revealed by Xiaomi has a white back with gradient finish. As noted, the phone looks pretty much identical to the Huawei P30 Pro from the rear side. The fingerprint sensor is not present on the rear, so we could possibly see an in-display one on the Mi CC9. At the bottom, there's a USB Type-C port and two grilles possibly for bottom-firing speakers.

Xiaomi has also confirmed on Chinese microblogging portal Weibo that the Mi CC9 will have a primary 48MP shooter on the back along with a 32MP selfie camera. Also, the company released a lot of selfies captured using the 32MP shooter and they look promising.

Xiaomi Mi CC9: Rumoured Specifications and Features

Xiaomi is known for teasing some features ahead of the launch, but the complete specifications of the handset are already available on the web along with a retail box image as well. Frontal, the Mi CC9 is said to rock a 6.39-inch OLED display with an in-display fingerprint scanner. A set of leaked images also showed the Mi CC9 would have thin bezels on the top and bottom. In addition, the Mi CC9's leaked images suggest a pop-up selfie camera like the Redmi K20 series.

As for the hardware, the Mi CC9 will have identical features of the Redmi K20. The phone is said to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 chipset, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The handset will boot MIUI 10-based on Android 9 Pie out of the box and it will be backed by a 4000mAh battery.

As for the cameras, Xiaomi has already confirmed the Mi CC9 will have a primary 48MP shooter on the back side and rumours suggest it will be accompanied with a 16MP secondary shooter and a 12MP third sensor.
