Xiaomi’s Gaming-Centric BlackShark Smartphone With Snapdragon 845 and 8GB of RAM Surfaced on AnTuTu

Last year, Xiaomi invested in a new venture called Blackshark and this new portal's Weibo account bio states it as a mobile phone maker. So it' safe to assume that Xiaomi will launch its new subsidiary brand in the future and the day seems to be nearing as a smartphone with moniker BLACKSHARK has paid its visit to the popular benchmarking site AnTuTu benchmark. Also, the benchmark listing revealed all the key features of the smartphone ranging from the processor to amount of RAM it comes with. The phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 845 chipset and will arrive with 8GB of RAM.

Also, there are some reports suggesting that Xiaomi will put this Blackshark brand against the likes of Razer. Last year, popular gaming-centric laptop brand, Razer ventured into smartphones and launched Razer Phone high-end internals. And Xiaomi is reportedly looking to grab some attention in the gaming segment, but nothing is confirmed officially as of now.

The Blackshark phone will run Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box as it was benchmarked with the latest version of Android and it will have an 18:9 display on the front. So, fewer chances of Xiaomi adding stereo speakers to the phone. And the massive part of this benchmark listing is that insane 270680 AnTuTu score. It' still shy of Galaxy S9' score, but it has already joined the top five list of highest AnTuTu benchmark scores.

There isn't much information available on the smartphone at the moment, but we're expecting more details to surface on the web in the coming days. Also, there are some chances of Xiaomi using a 120Hz display like the Razer phone, which stirred the entire smartphone market with its responsiveness.

with the Blackshark phone, Xiaomi might expand its reach in the United States market, which is reportedly the goal of Xiaomi this year. That said, the phone will not be launched at the MWC 2018 event next week.
