Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro Now Available in a Total of 4 Variants

With the Redmi Note 8 Pro, Xiaomi is going all guns blazing by offering the device in multiple RAM and storage configurations. With the launch of 8GB+256GB variant, the Note 8 Pro will be available in a total of four variants in China- 6GB+64GB, 6GB+128GB, 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB. As mentioned above, the first three variants of the Note 8 Pro are available in the Indian market, but there's no news on when the newly launched 8GB+256GB variant will reach the country. We're expecting Xiaomi to surely bring this new model to the Indian market to fill the price bracket. If the new variant reaches India for under Rs 20,000, then it will be the cheapest phone to offer 256GB storage at the time of launch. The new storage variant comes in three colour options- Pearl White, Light Grey and Ice Emerald.

In other news, Xiaomi is also teasing a new colour variant of the Note 8 Pro in Europe. And it could probably be the Deep Sea Blue variant it launched recently in China. Xiaomi yet to announce plans of launching the new colour variant of Note 8 Pro in India.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro: Specifications and Features

When it comes to specifications, the Redmi Note 8 Pro is a mid-range beast, at least in India. In China, the Note 8 Pro has several competitors like the Realme X2 and some Oppo & Vivo phones. The Note 8 Pro is Xiaomi's first gaming-focused mid-range phone as it sports the MediaTek Helio G90T chipset. The chipset comes paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

The handset rocks a 6.53-inch Full HD+ display on the front with an aspect ratio of 19:9 and 1080x2340 pixels resolution. The Note 8 Pro features quad-camera setup on the back- 64MP primary sensor, 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, 2MP macro lens and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, the Redmi Note 8 Pro has a 20MP selfie camera.

Other features of the Redmi Note 8 Pro include 4500mAh battery with 18W fast charging, Android 9 Pie-based MIUI 10.4 out of the box and an IR Blaster is located on the top. Currently, Xiaomi is selling the Redmi Note 8 Pro in flash sales, thanks to the demand from the customers it's facing right now.

Overall, the Redmi Note 8 Pro is the best sub-Rs 15,000 smartphone in India right now, beating the likes of Realme 5 Pro, Vivo Z1 Pro and other phones in the similar range.
