Most of the users have been waiting for this feature to be pop up on WhatsApp, and now the most-used IM has added it to its catalog. In the latest WhatsApp update for Android and iOS versions, you will now get the document sharing option (PDF sharing). The feature will also available for WhatsApp Beta users.
On Android, users can go to options in the app, and it will show the new document sharing feature. It means that users can now attach any local PDF file from the file manager and share it with their contacts on WhatsApp. While on iPhone, the app will allow you to attach PDF files from other storage applications such as Google Drive, One Drive, and Dropbox.
The app version is v2.12.453, which is available from Google Play, and for a few users, the new version is displaying the new option. At the moment, not all users with the updated app version are able to see the new option, but we assume it to become available gradually.
Interestingly, many of the users who updated the version (v2.12.489) from the company website, are able to see the option, which indicates that it is a server-side update. As of now, users will only be able to share PDF files. WhatsApp might be adding more document formats to the list soon.
