Vodafone 4G Prepaid and Postpaid Plans Now Live in Andhra Pradesh & Telangana

By May 7th, 2018 AT 6:22 PM

Vodafone India, which recently started asking its users in Andhra Pradesh & Telangana to get a new 4G SIM card has now officially introduced 4G prepaid and postpaid plans in the circle. While Vodafone’s website is yet to be updated, users can enrol these plans by heading over to the Vodafone retail stores in the circle. Furthermore, Vodafone has started sending SMS to the customers regarding the 4G prepaid plans launch. The telco has introduced its wide-range of prepaid unlimited data plans starting from Rs 197 to Rs 509. The Rs 197 plan of Vodafone now offers unlimited voice calls, 1.4GB 4G data per day for 28 days while the Rs 448 plan offers unlimited voice calls and 1.4GB data per day for 82 days.

Vodafone India

As an introductory offer, Vodafone is giving every user 1GB of free 4G data for upgrading to a new 4G SIM card. The upgradation process requires the users to visit the nearest retail store.

Do make a note that Vodafone is offering 4G services under the ICR agreement with Idea Cellular. Until now, the telco offered 3G data services on the same agreement, but going forward, it will be offering 4G services. During the earnings report earlier this month, Idea Cellular stated that it would be sharing around 49,000 2G and 4G sites under the telco’s ‘Active infrastructure sharing’ program. Andhra Pradesh & Telangana circle is amongst the top circles for Idea Cellular, so no surprises that it’s sharing the sites with Vodafone.

However, it’s unlikely that Vodafone will launch VoLTE services in the circle anytime soon. Idea, on the other hand, rolled out Idea VoLTE services in Andhra Pradesh & Telangana circle.

Vodafone is also expected to launch 4G services under the same agreement in Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh circle as the telco already started pushing its customers in the circle to upgrade to a 4G SIM card. Do make a note that to use 4G services, you should get a 4G SIM card because the 4G data services will not work with the existing 2G/3G SIM cards. And the services can be used on any 4G supported smartphone.

Airtel and Jio are the future and both have 4G presence on more then 80% population, airtel is equivalent to bsnl in pan india 2G coverage.

Airtel 4G is not present even in cities and you told they have 80% coverage itself shows what kind of person you are!!!!!They had six years for launching 4G,they haven’t taken any action yet!!!!!They won’t most probably even in next two!!!!!So don’t praise Airtel at least in front of me!!!!!Their major revenue right now is voice users and corporate postpaid plans!!!!

In Mumbai Metropolitan region people use Jio and Vodafone, not second rate operators like Airtel.

Well, that’s not really fair because Vodafone good in some areas, crap in others – same for Airtel.

You should be a bit more open minded IMHO.

Some people has draconian mindset, never able to digest progress of 2nd tier, 3 tier cities people.

How people from 2nd tier cities got better service then metro???

When tier 2,3,4 cities and villages get better (or equivalent) services than metros, then the great unmitigated migration to metros and destruction of space can be reduced a bit. This is a good thing for a sustainable future.

Do you know that majority of iPhone users in India use Vodafone?

Because Vodafone for many years had good bundled deals with iPhone for customers.

Now Airtel also started offering which is good.

But do this survey and you will find the majority of iPhone users are using Vodafone.

This means iPhone users are cheap? Recharging from recharge point?

LOL

I don’t know where you live in Delhi. But Vodafone was much better the last time i visited Delhi. Airtel was good too. Jio had great coverage but speeds struggled everywhere i visited.

@SS This is the truth you experienced about JIO in Delhi.
People on TT from 2nd tier towns can’t digest.

SS i live in new delhi and i dont know what services you have experienced with 3CA on Jio we get 80-90 Mbps highest and airtel its 40-50 Mbps highest. May be you got more speeds on vodafone delhi then where you live.

@AU We know that you are in love with or are employed by Jio. Please stop spreading false news. Vodafone is not leaving India. Vodafone group will own 45% of ‘Idea-Vodafone’, post merger.

Bete oldmonk vodafone india is discontinued this official status. May be you need to wake up. Idea is a third class operator and is going to ruin it after merger.
I use Airtel and Jio that doesnt make me fanboy as i am not kid like you oldmonk. I am always open to criticism but it shouldnt be kiddish.
