Vodafone Introduces Rs 396 Prepaid Plan With 69 Days Validity and Daily Data Benefit

Vodafone India recently revised the Rs 399 prepaid plan and reduced the data benefit alongside increasing the validity. The Rs 399 prepaid plan now offers 1GB data per day, down from the earlier 1.4GB daily data benefit. However, Vodafone has now introduced a new prepaid plan of Rs 396 with benefits of the earlier Rs 399 plan. The Rs 396 prepaid plan from Vodafone offers 1.4GB data per day for 69 days, which is pretty much similar to the older open market Rs 399 plan. Alongside the data benefit, the newly launched plan also ships with unlimited voice calling and 100 SMS per day for the entire validity period. Furthermore, users will also get access to free Vodafone Play application. To recall, Idea Cellular recently launched the Rs 392 prepaid plan with benefits for 60 days.

Vodafone Rs 396 Prepaid Plan: Benefits and Validity

The Rs 396 prepaid plan from Vodafone comes as a replacement to the Rs 399 plan which offered benefits for 70/84 days. It ships unlimited voice calling without any FUP limit since Vodafone Idea has removed the limit on voice calling. The plan also offers 1.4GB data per day and 100 SMS per day for 69 days from the date of recharge. Vodafone customers will also get access to Vodafone Play application which is the telco’s content app with over 5,000 movies and 300+ Live TV channels. The Vodafone Play app can be downloaded from Google Play Store for free.

Vodafone Revised Rs 399 Prepaid Plan Recently

To recall, a couple of weeks ago, telcos such as Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea revised the Rs 399 prepaid plan. The revised Rs 399 plan from Vodafone offers 1GB data per day, which is down from the older 1.4GB data per day benefit. The plan now offers benefits for 84 days to every prepaid customer.

Earlier, the open market Rs 399 prepaid plan offered 1.4GB data per day, unlimited voice calling with a cap and 100 SMS per day for 70 days and the same plan was valid for 84 days for some Vodafone prepaid customers. The all-new Rs 396 prepaid plan is similar to the older Rs 399 prepaid plan with just one day less benefit.

As of now, the Rs 396 prepaid plan is valid only to select users in select circles like Delhi and Mumbai. You can check out for the plan’s availability on your mobile number via Vodafone website or mobile app.

Vodafone Idea Removes FUP Limit on Voice Calling

Yesterday, we reported that Vodafone Idea has done away with the FUP limit on voice calling starting January 10. For the unaware, Vodafone Idea’s unlimited prepaid combo plans come with so-called unlimited calling benefit, but the telco restricts the voice calls to 250 minutes per day and 10000 minutes per week. That said, the restriction is now more as the telco wants to take on Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio. While Jio introduced the concept of unlimited voice calling, it was soon followed by Bharti Airtel back at the end of 2017.

I had been visiting certain shopping street across Bangalore for some time and happen to park my car or just walk by to some shop next to Vodafone stores and see very deserting look inside the store. Not even a single customer .. most of the executing pilling onto single desk and chit chatting .. this is very disturbing and warning sign for the company… Last month Jio has surpassed Vodafone customer count in Karnataka but fall short still as idea is merged but soon it will surpass that too and become second biggest telecom company after Airtel in Karnataka.… Read more »

In Indore a number of AVOID stores have shut down. Mostly franchisee outlets, but a few COCO outlets too.

Airtel Payments Bank staff has been severely reduced. Earlier, there was a guy in each COCO outlet full day to serve needs of Airtel bank customers.

Now in all these stores the guy for Airtel payments bank is available only 2-3 hours a day with timings clearly specified.

Yeah, in Bangalore telcos removed the franchise model 4 yrs back due to lack of focus on customers and larthrgic attitude of franchise employees and started opening coco stores in large numbers. But now I see “to let” board outside many idea coco stores by real-estate owners . Almost all localities has 1 Vodafone and idea outlet hence duplication was high. Now they decided to keep Vodafone store on those and close overlapping idea stores as they want to keep Vodafone as urban brand and remove idea from top cities…

Jio is deliberately reducing the transmitter power of most of the towers. Airtel, vodafone and BSNL are giving full signal (at least 2G and 3G) at most of the places. So keep this in mind before bashing avoid.
