Vodafone India is now taking on Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel by offering a massive amount of 78.4GB 3G/4G data for prepaid users under Rs 200. Vodafone has revised its Rs 199 prepaid plan

for select users, and it’s now providing double data of 2.8GB data benefit on a daily basis. Having said that, this move from Vodafone is applicable only for select users and not for all its prepaid customers. Also, this plan is applicable for select users who reside in the circles where Vodafone has its 4G operations, meaning it’s not valid for users in Andhra Pradesh & Telangana and Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh circles. Alongside the data benefit, the Rs 199 prepaid plan also offers unlimited voice calls to the users.

Diving into the details, Vodafone’s Rs 199 for select users is now providing 2.8GB data benefit per day, and unlimited voice calls with a FUP limit on a daily basis and weekly basis. Voice calling on Vodafone network is limited to 250 minutes per day and 1000 minutes per week. Sadly, this plan is not providing any SMS benefit.

For all the users, the same Rs 199 prepaid plan from Vodafone offers 1.4GB data per day along with unlimited voice calls and 100 SMS per day for 28 days.

Vodafone made this revision to compete with Reliance Jio and its Rs 198 plan. Jio introduced a Rs 198 prepaid plan a while back, under which it’s offering 2GB data benefit per day for 28 days along with unlimited voice calls and 100 SMS per day. Bharti Airtel, on the other hand, is also offering 1.4GB data per day, unlimited voice calls and 100 SMS per day for 28 days. All the operators are providing these plans as open market ones.

With this new prepaid revision, Vodafone has brought down the per GB value to Rs 2.53, which is the not the latest in the industry but is one of the lowest ones in the industry right now.
