Vodafone Launches New Long-Term Prepaid Plan With 180 Days Validity

Vodafone has introduced a new prepaid recharge plan of Rs 599 to compete better with Bharti Airtel. The telecom operator which merged operations with Idea is also providing other long-term plans like Rs 999, Rs 1,699 and Rs 1,999. The Rs 599 long-term plan by Vodafone is currently limited to select circles like the Rs 999 and Rs 1,999 plans, while the Rs 1,699 plan is applicable across the country. In contrast, Bharti Airtel is also providing a similar recharge plan priced at Rs 597, but the validity is 168 days only, unlike Vodafone's Rs 599 plan which offers benefits for 180 days. Benefits of Rs 599 plan by Vodafone include 6GB data, unlimited voice calling and 300 SMSes per month for six months.




Vodafone Prepaid Plan of Rs 599 Details

The new Rs 599 prepaid plan by Vodafone is a Bonus Card type of plan and it offers no talk time to the subscribers. The benefits of this plan, however, include unlimited local, STD and roaming calls. As for the data, the plan bundles 6GB 4G/3GB data for the subscribers which is valid for the entire validity period of 180 days. On top of this, the plan also offers 1800 SMS for the entire validity period. Additional benefits of the Rs 599 prepaid plan by Vodafone includes free Live TV, movies and shows on Vodafone Play App. As always, this new plan from Vodafone is applicable only in select circles at the moment, but in the circles where it's available, it's an open market recharge.

Bharti Airtel Prepaid Plan of Rs 597 Details

When compared to the prepaid plan being offered by Bharti Airtel in the same segment, the data offering of the Vodafone Rs 599 prepaid plan remains the same as the Airtel plan. The Airtel Rs 597 prepaid plan offers 6GB data to the customers along with free unlimited local, STD and roaming calls. The validity of this prepaid plan is 168 days and it also bundles 300 SMS per month. Although the plan offers slightly less validity as compared to the Vodafone plan, it offers better additional benefits like 1 year free Norton Mobile security, Airtel TV premium subscription, new 4G device cashback, free subscription to Wynk Music.

Vodafone Prepaid Plans of Rs 299 and Rs 229

Only a few days back, Vodafone has also introduced a new Rs 299 prepaid plan and this is also a bonus card offering with no talk time. The Rs 299 prepaid plan comes with 70 days validity and in this period, subscribers will enjoy free unlimited local, STD and roaming calls. The total data which the customers will enjoy for the entire validity period is 3GB and the plan will also bundle 1000 SMS for 70 days. In the same price range, Vodafone also offers a Rs 229 prepaid plan which offers 2GB data per day, unlimited calling and other additional benefits for 28 days.
