Breaking: Vodafone Idea Brings New Validity Plans Under Rs 150

Vodafone Idea's Rs 128 plan comes with 18 days of service validity. It offers 100MB of data and local/national calls at 2.5 paise/second. There are 10 local on-net night minutes as well. These night minutes are available to customers between 11 PM to 6 AM.

Vodafone Idea Limited (VIL), the third-largest telecom operator in India, has introduced two new prepaid plans for customers. There hasn't been any formal announcement of the plans from the telco, but they are now available for customers in select circles. The plans which we are talking about are priced under Rs 150. They are validity plans focused at the low-income segment or people who just want to keep their secondary SIM cards active. The plans which we are talking about cost Rs 128 and Rs 138. In some circles, the same Rs 128 plan might be available at a different pricing, but affordable nonetheless. Let's take a look at the plans in detail below.

Vodafone Idea Rs 128 Plan

Vodafone Idea's Rs 128 plan comes with 18 days of service validity. It offers 100MB of data and local/national calls at 2.5 paise/second. There are 10 local on-net night minutes as well. These night minutes are available to customers between 11 PM to 6 AM. There are no outgoing SMSes bundled with this plan.

Vodafone Idea Rs 138 Plan

Vodafone Idea's Rs 138 plan comes with 20 days of service validity. It offers 100MB of data as well. Further, the plan bundles same 10 local on-net night minutes for customers and local calls at 2.5 paise/second. There are no outgoing SMSes and the night minutes are available betweeen 11 PM to 6 AM.

Both of these plans are affordable and allow customers to keep their SIM active. In Karnataka circle, both of these are available, but in different circles, the exact same plans will not be present. Note that TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India) has already asked the telcos to bring SMS and voice only special tariff vouchers (STVs) for customers. The mandate will come to force in the second half of January 2025.
