These days, telecom operators are finding new ways to lure subscribers and increase their user base. And the frontrunner on the list in Vodafone Idea whose subscriber base is now less than 350 million. To add more users on board, Vodafone has brought back its 50% discount on Amazon Prime subscription to the prepaid users. Yes, you heard it right, eligible Vodafone prepaid users can avail the Amazon Prime membership worth Rs 999 for one year at just Rs 499. This offer is valid till June 30, 2019, and it's only to Vodafone prepaid users, not Idea prepaid customers. To recall, this is the same offer Vodafone introduced during the same time last year, and now, it has brought back the same since Airtel is providing one-month of Amazon Prime membership free with its Rs 299 prepaid plan. And yes, the offer is still termed as 'Vodafone Youth Offer on Prime.'

Vodafone Amazon Prime for Youth Offer Details

The Youth Offer by Vodafone will avail the Amazon Prime membership to the subscribers between age 18 and 24 at just half the price. It is worth noting that Vodafone has rolled out this offer for prepaid customers and this will not be valid for the postpaid subscribers of Vodafone. Vodafone, in its website, has written that when Vodafone subscribers between 18—24 age buy a one year Amazon Prime membership, they will get 50% off on the total subscription amount. It is also worth noting that the Amazon Prime subscription will get the users to access not only perks like faster delivery and access to Prime sales, but they will also be able to access Amazon’s music streaming platform, Amazon Prime Music and its OTT platform Amazon Prime Video which hosts thousands of on-demand videos and TV series.

For postpaid subscribers, Vodafone is already providing free Amazon Prime subscription for one year with all its postpaid plans starting at Rs 399.

Things to Keep in Mind

Without the Vodafone U prepaid offer of 50%, a regular Amazon Prime membership would set back the buyer by Rs 999, however, combined with this offer, subscribers of Vodafone prepaid plan would be able to get it for Rs 499. Vodafone has also detailed that to avail the offer you will first need to download the My Vodafone app. After downloading the application, you will need to tap on the banner which you see on the front to make use of the offer provided to you. In case you already have the MyVodafone app, and you aren’t able to see the banner, then you will need to update your app once. Vodafone has also clarified that in case you are already an Amazon Prime member then the offer won’t be of much use to you unless you use it after your current subscription expires. Also, people in the age of 18 to 24, who are using someone else’s SIM card won’t get the benefit, and they will have to get a new Vodafone SIM in their name along with the eKYC to take advantages of this offer.
