Vivo Launches IPL Limited Edition of Vivo V5 Plus In Black Matte Color

Chinese smartphone maker, Vivo has announced the limited edition of its Vivo V5 Plus phone. The limited edition V5 Plus comes in Matte Black color and is to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Indian Premier League (IPL).

The limited Black Matte edition also features IPL logo on the rear side of the phone. It will be sold from April 10, and the price of the phone shall be revealed on the sale day itself. As we mentioned above, the limited edition comes in Black Matte color and besides, it also comes preloaded with customized app icons based on Cricket. Other than this add-on features, the Vivo V5 Plus bears the same specs.

The V5 Plus comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM and Adreno 506 GPU. The USP of the V5 Plus is its dual front-facing cameras bearing 20MP and 8MP lenses. The 20MP is used to capture standard shots while the 8MP lens takes care of the additional effects like Bokeh. On the rear, the phone sports a 16MP camera with PDAF, f/2.0 aperture, and LED flash.

Regarding connectivity, the V5 Plus supports 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and microUSB. The phone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Vivo's in-house FunTouch OS on top. A Non-Removable 3160 mAh battery with support for fast charging technology backs the devices.

Currently, the V5 Plus retails at Rs. 27,990 for the standard editions in Gold and Gray color options. Vivo has not disclosed the number of 'IPL Limited Edition' units that it will be putting up for sale on April 10. We expect to get all the details soon.
