Tata Sky Offers 42% Discount on HD Monthly Ultra Pack Along With Mobile App Subscription

Tata Sky has been in the news for a while now as the DTH service provider did not reveal new channel pricing according to Trai’s new tariff regime. Earlier, we reported about Tata Sky’s 44% discount offer which has now reached its expiry. Don’t get disappointed as Tata Sky has come up with a new 42% discount offer. New subscribers looking for a Tata Sky subscription can avail 42% discount on HD Monthly Ultra Pack which provides a user 241 SD channels, 55HD channels, two regional packs for free and the user can also enjoy Tata Sky mobile app in two smartphones. Usually, Tata Sky will charge Rs 2,935 for this package for this package, but as part of the 42% discount offer, the plan’s price will come down to Rs 1,690.

Tata Sky 42% Discount Offer Detailed

This offer from Tata Sky is being termed as Tata Sky Diwali Festive offer. Earlier, the DTH provider shipped two plans under the offer, but now, it has trimmed down the same to one. Currently, the discount offer comes with a 42% discount. As part of this plan, subscribers will get 241 SD channels and 55 HD channels and services. This plan will offer two regional packs and also, it will allow the Tata Sky app to run on two devices simultaneously. Under the Diwali Festive Offer, this plan will be available for Rs 1,690 down from its actual rental of Rs 2,935.

To recall, Tata Sky earlier offered a 44% discount on a semi-annual plan which is Semi-Annual Dhamaka Super pack. As part of this plan, the subscribers will get access to 246 SD channels and 24 HD channels and services. Along with this, the subscribers will also get a free regional pack in this plan. Lastly, they will also be able to use the Tata Sky Mobile app for free on two devices. The actual MRP of the plan without the offer stands at Rs 5,350, however, with the 44% discount, customers will save Rs 2,351 thus bringing down the effective price of this plan to Rs 2,999. That said, this offer seems to have removed as it’s no more listed on the official website.

Tata Sky Referral Program

Referral programmes have been seeing a lot of popularity for telcos and other service providers lately. While Airtel also recently launched a referral program for its postpaid subscribers recently, Tata Sky is also not far behind. Under the referral program, the referrer Tata Sky subscriber will be credited with Rs 300 in their Tata Sky account upon a successful sign-up. To refer a friend, you will need to visit the Tata Sky website where you will have to enter your information as well your friend’s information. Once your friend signs up with a Tata Sky subscription, you will get Rs 300 referral award plus the referee will also get one-month free subscription.

Tata Sky Ends Tussle With Sony India Networks

Sony India, one of the most sought-after content distributor in India had locked horns with Tata Sky previously over the issue of non-conclusive negotiations. Following unsuccessful discussions over the financials, Tata Sky was served with a disconnection notice from Sony India, later leading to the removal of Star channels from Tata Sky’s platform. In a similar spat, Sony India had also got in a tussle with Dish TV and Airtel Digital TV as well. However, Tata Sky has ended the spat and is now streaming all the 32 channels to its users.
