Tata Communications has just announced that it is leveraging Nvidia's Hopper GPUs for upgrading its aritifical intelligence (AI) infrastructure. Under this partnership, Tata Communications and Nvidia are setting up one of India's largest supercomputers integrated with Nvidia Hopper GPU. The first phase of this project is expected to be completed by the end of 2024, with further expansion planned for 2025.

Apart from this, Tata Communications will also leverage Nvidia's NIM microservices, Omniverse, and Isaac platforms to enhance its cloud offerings. This will help companies across sectors including retail, healthcare, and finance with advanced capabilities to manage compex AI workloads efficiently.

Tata Communications is also launching AI Studio at the same time. The AI Studio will be an all-in-one platform aimed at how businesses leverage AI to grow. Under the AI Studio, businesses will get access to stuff such as Model Garden, AI Workbench, and Responsible AI solutions for simplifying data management and scaling AI applications across various sectors.

Nvidia also announced a partnership with Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) to build AI infra in India. Reliance is also shifting its focus towards being a deep tech company and AI is one of the priorities for the company. The partnership with Reliance has just been announced and both companies are yet to specify the areas where they will be working in and what results they are expecting out of this partnership. The partnership was announced at the Nvidia AI Summit 2024 by Jensen Huang, CEO, Nvidia.
