TAM: Star Plus leads, Colors at second position

Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) India has rolled out the Week 19 data, from May 9th to May 15th, 2015 of Television Audience Measurement, which saw a decline of most of the channels.

Star Plus maintains its top position in both household and individual ratings, with 566 GRPs and 249 GRPs respectively. Colors occupied the second position with a household and individual rating of 464 GRPs and 202 GRPs respectively. Zee TV stood at the third position, with 340 GRPs and 153 GRPs in household and individual ratings. Zee TV has reported a decline when compared to last week.

Life OK bags the fourth position. The channel holds 299GRPs in the household category and 128 GRPs in the individual category. Last week, Life OK had a rating of 328 GRPs in household. Sab is the next in the position, with 268 in household and 126 GRPs in individual.

The sixth position is for Sony, with 215 GRPs in the household category and 97 GRPs in the individual category. &TV also witnessed a decline to 112 GRPs in the household category and in the individual category with 97 GRPs. Pal occupied seventh, registering a decline from 50 GRPs to 39 GRPSs in household ratings and from 23 GRPs to 20 GRPs in the individual ratings. The channel Epic too witnessed a drop, featuring a 13 GRPs in household ratings, and 5 GRPs at individual.

In Hindi movie genres, the top three channels are Sony Max, Zee Cinema and Star Gold. In Hindi news, Aaj Tak stands at first position, followed by ABP News on second position and India TV on third. The market for the data is all India, without LC1.
