T24 is a pseudo MVNO operator using Tata Docomo’s network for offering voice and data services. T24 is a Future group initiative that gives free talktime for shopping at any of the Future group retail outlets like Big Bazar.
It offers competitive voice and data tariffs in the market today and one of the most affordable 2G data packs. T24 has just informed its subscribers in Mumbai that it has increased the denominations for full talk time top up recharges with effect from 1st April 2015. The old and new denominations for full talk time are as follows.
Old denomination of full talk time recharge | New denomination of full talk time recharge |
100 | 110 |
200 | 220 |
300 | 350 |
With more and more operators reducing freebies in their talk time and special tariff vouchers we can see the industry heading for another tariff hike. The likes of Sunil Mittal have already expressed their views about the industry needing a tariff hike of at least 2 to 3p/min for voice calls to make up for the investments that the operators are doing for buying spectrum and setting up quality services.

The only hope that the industry has for keeping a check on these price hikes is the entry of a new Pan-India operator and the smaller regional players who have not participated in the auction and can continue to offer low tariffs. After all India is a price sensitive market and only those who can provide value for money services can survive.
