Samsung Launches Gear IconX Earphones With Bluetooth 4.2 and Voice Support at Rs 13,990

Samsung has launched the new Gear IconX earbuds in India today. The new earbuds by Samsung provide a truly wireless experience with standalone music playing capabilities and 4GB internal storage. Samsung has said that the earphones are ideal for someone with an active lifestyle. What’s more is that the earphones have gone live for sale starting today (July 26) and they are available across all major offline and online stores with a price tag of Rs 13,990. The South Korean tech giant has said that the new Gear IconX comes with a lot of upgrades and features which will make the audio experience on the device top notch.

For music transfer, users of the IconX will be able to use a smartphone, PC or they will even be able to do it wirelessly. Moreover, the device will come with the function of playing, pausing, skipping etc. which will make use of the touch-based gestures. Additionally, the Icon X will come equipped with an equaliser to provide quality audio experience. The equaliser will have five preset which will include Bass Boost, Soft, Dynamic, Clear and Treble Boost. Users will also be able to decide how much ambient sound they would like to let in on the earphones. They will be able to determine the level of ambient noise using the Ambient Sound function.

In terms of connectivity, the IconX earbuds come with USB 2.0 and Bluetooth 4.2. with the sensors being an accelerometer and a proximity sensor. Apart from that, the earbuds will help users receive incoming calls, while there will also be the capability of reading out incoming callers or notifications. The earbuds also support the Bixby voice assistant. Users can use their voice to control music or place a call or put out a message just by tapping and holding the earbud. Apart from that, the IconX earbuds come with inbuilt tracking capability through which the earbuds can avail you data like distance, time and calories burnt. It can also be paired with devices like Gear S3 Frontier or the Gear Fit 2 Pro.

The Pace Setter feature on the Samsung Health platform will also be able to pair up with the device, thus doubling down as an in-ear coach. Users will be able to choose from programs like 'Light Walking' to 'Speed Endurance', and they will also have the freedom to create their custom training programs.

Speaking of battery, Samsung has said that the Gear IconX can deliver up to five hours of music streaming or seven hours of standalone music playback. The Gear IconX case will work as a power bank and will give users one hour of additional playback. Samsung has said that 10 minutes of charging on the device will avail them one hour of connectivity. The Gear IconX earbuds measure 21.8x18.9x22.8mm, and they weigh just 8 grams.
