The Indian telecom industry is brimming with competition. The telecom operators have launched prepaid plans that compete with each other, and this is true for all price segments. The segment below Rs 500 was considered the most competitive before, but now even the pricier plans have become competitive as the subscribers are getting more and more options. Some of the standard denominations we are getting to see these days are Rs 999 and Rs 1,699 when it comes to prepaid plans. While we have already seen Rs 1,699 prepaid plans and compared them from all the telecom operators, it is time to compare the Rs 999 prepaid plans from the telcos. Here is a comparison of the Rs 999 prepaid plan from all telcos.

Vodafone Rs 999 Prepaid Plan

Vodafone’s Rs 999 offering is not the only with daily data or the conventional unlimited data offering like you would expect. The first obvious benefit with this plan from Vodafone is the unlimited calling, and when it comes to data, the plan ships 12GB 4G/3G data for the subscribers along with 3600 SMS for 365 days. When it comes to additional benefits, the plan offers free live TV and music through Vodafone Play app.

Airtel Rs 998 Prepaid Plan

Airtel’s offering does not exactly match up to the value, but it is quite comparable to be left out among the others. The Rs 998 prepaid plan comes with 12GB data as well and 365 days validity just like the above-mentioned plan. The subscribers also enjoy unlimited calling and 300 SMS per 28 days. Extra benefits in this plan include Wynk Music subscription, Airtel TV Premium subscription, Norton Mobile Security for a year and 4G device cashback of up to Rs 2,000.

Idea Rs 999 Prepaid Plan

Idea’s Rs 999 offering in the prepaid segment also matches up to other offerings, and this one also comes with 365 days validity. The telecom operator also offers 12GB data for the entire validity period with unlimited local, STD and roaming calls. The subscribers enjoy 3600 SMS in total during the subscription period. However, with all this, there are no notable extra benefits with this plan.

Reliance Jio Rs 999 Prepaid Plan

The Rs 999 prepaid plan from Reliance Jio is unlike all the plans that we have seen above. Reliance Jio focuses a lot on data, and the validity that it offers with its Rs 999 prepaid plan is just 90 days. In this plan, the telco offers 60GB data and unlimited calling. There are also 100 SMS per day credited to the users’ accounts. The subscribers also get a complimentary subscription to Jio’s portfolio of apps.
