Reliance Jio has silently made an excellent change to JioPhone's Rs 153 tariff plan. Jio is now offering 1GB data per day with the Rs 153 tariff plan for the affordable 4G feature phone, which takes the total data offering to 28GB data. This new change is in-line with the company's new tariff plans for prepaid users. Customers who're recharging the Rs 153 plan will now receive the revised pack benefits. After the completion of 1GB data per day, data speed will be reduced to 64 Kbps.

Earlier, the Rs 153 plan for JioPhone offered 500MB data per day for 28 days, a total of 14GB for the entire validity period. Alongside the data benefit, the Rs 153 plan also offers unlimited voice calls without any FUP and 100 SMS per day for the validity period.

So the Rs 153 plan for JioPhone now matches the company's Rs 149 prepaid tariff plan. For example, Jio is offering the same benefits with the Rs 149 tariff plan. With this change, Jio is allowing the JioPhone consumers to browse the web without worrying to check the data balance.

If a user consumes the 1GB data FUP per day, then the Sachet recharges comes into play. Jio has two sachet plans of Rs 24 and Rs 54. They offer 500MB data per day, unlimited voice calls, 100 SMS per day for the validity period. The Rs 24 pack gives benefits for two days, while the Rs 54 plan offers benefits for seven days.

The Reliance JioPhone is dubbed as the smartest feature phone ever released in the Indian market. Currently, Jio is selling the feature phone across the major retail stores. Earlier, the JioPhone saw a huge demand, but after the terms and conditions update from Jio, the demand has fallen drastically. Such downfall that you can now pick up a JioPhone by heading over to a major offline store nearby you.

The JioPhone sports a 2.4-inch QVGA display and is powered by a Spreadtrum SC9820A/QC8905 SoC, paired with Mali-400 GPU and 512MB of RAM. The phone boots KaiOS and is backed by a 2000mAh battery. It has support for 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and NFC.
