Reliance Jio Rs 555 Prepaid Plan Competes Head-On With Bharti Airtel Rs 558 Offering

In the ruthless telecom industry which seems to be financially bleeding right now, there are two telecom operators in the domain which are holding the flag high and competing vehemently. These two operators are Mukesh Ambani led Reliance Jio, and the Sunil Bharti Mittal led telecom operator, Bharti Airtel. While Reliance Jio remains to be the leader in the telecom market whether it is on the business side of things, revenue or the massive subscriber base, the only telecom operator which has been able to threaten its place is Bharti Airtel. Both of these operators offer services which are loved by the subscribers and hence their offerings are priced such that they often go against each other. That is also true for the price range of around Rs 500. While Reliance Jio recently refreshed its prepaid portfolio with the launch of all-in-one plans, it priced one of the plans at Rs 555, which is very similarly priced to the Rs 558 prepaid plan of Bharti Airtel. Here is how these two plans fare against each other.

Benefits of Reliance Jio Rs 555 All-in-One Prepaid Plan

Firstly, there is the Reliance Jio prepaid plan of Rs 555, which is a part of the all-in-one portfolio from Reliance Jio. The Rs 555 prepaid plan by the Mukesh Ambani led telecom operator has become one of the most popular plans recently especially after the introduction of IUC recharges. After Reliance Jio introduced IUC talk-time plans, the customers were in need for plans which shipped both the data benefit and the IUC minutes, all in the same bundle and the Rs 555 prepaid plan by Reliance Jio bridged that gap. Not only this, but the plan also offers plenty of validity for the subscribers along with ample daily data.

When it comes to the benefits of this plan, the Reliance Jio Rs 555 all-in-one prepaid plan comes with 84 days validity and a total validity of 168GB, which translates to 2GB data per day. Along with this, the subscribers get 3,000 IUC minutes or outgoing calls to other networks. The Reliance Jio calls to the same network remain free and unlimited like before. Bundled with this, are the additional benefits like a subscription to Reliance Jio apps, 100 SMS per day and more. Currently, this prepaid plan is available for Rs 505 as part of Shubh Paytm offer, with an upfront discount of Rs 50 live until November 15.

Bharti Airtel Prepaid Plan Offering Better Benefits

In comparison to this, Bharti Airtel Rs 558 prepaid plan is not the most popular one, but being in the same price range, it gives a tough competition to the Reliance Jio prepaid plan and even surpasses the benefits as well. This plan by Bharti Airtel offers 3GB data per day to the subscribers, and it comes with 82 days validity. It is worth noting that despite being just Rs 3 less than this plan, Reliance Jio ships 2GB data per day, instead of 3GB with a negligible validity difference. Not only this, but Bharti Airtel subscribers also enjoy truly unlimited calls, meaning that there is no IUC charge for the customers dialling to other networks. On the other hand, the Reliance Jio subscribers are charged 6 paise per minute for outgoing calls to other networks. Along with this, Bharti Airtel subscribers also enjoy additional benefits with the Rs 558 prepaid plan which include 100 SMS per day. Summarising, it can be said that when it comes to the Rs 550 price range, Bharti Airtel has a prepaid plan which offers much better benefits than Reliance Jio’s Rs 555 all-in-one plan, but the latter is also under a new discount.
