Reliance Jio now has a Rs 98 tariff plan which gives unlimited voice calls and 2GB of high-speed 4G data for 28 days. The same plan earlier used to offer benefits for 14 days from the date of recharge, but now the validity is doubled.

1.5GB Data Per Day Plans
As stated, Jio has decreased the price of the earlier launched 1.5GB data per day plans by Rs 50, and they now start at Rs 149. The Rs 149 plan is valid for 28 days, the Rs 349 plan offers benefits for 70 days, the Rs 399 plan is now valid for 84 days, and lastly, the Rs 449 plan comes with a validity of 91 days.

Likewise, the Rs 149 plan gives 42GB data, Rs 349 plan offers 105GB data, the Rs 399 plan gives 126GB data, and the Rs 449 plan provides 136GB of data. This also dubs to 1.5GB data per day, alongside the standard unlimited voice calling and 100 SMS per day for the validity period.

2GB Data Per Day Plans
Earlier, Jio had a single 2GB data per day plan, but now, the company has four 2GB data per day plans. There's nothing special Jio did here as it just updated the 1.5GB data per day plans to 2GB data per day. So the Rs 198 tariff plan of Jio now gives 2GB data per day for 28 days. That said, customers will receive 56GB data at just Rs 199 now.

The Rs 398 plan now offers 140GB data for 70 days; the Rs 448 plan provides 168GB data with 2GB data per day for 84 days, and lastly, the Rs 498 plan gives 182GB data which converts to 2GB data per day. These new plans will be effective from January 26, 2018.

Yet again, Reliance Jio is putting a lot of pressure on incumbent telecom operators. Airtel started to update its tariff plans, but now, the telco is left behind. It will be interesting to see how top telcos react to these new plans.
