With this launch, Reliance Jio will easily be eyeing the target of becoming the world’s biggest greenfield fixed-line broadband service provider in the world. After going through a lot of testing in the metro cities, Reliance Jio is finally bringing the GigaFiber services to 1,100 towns. The connection will offer many more services apart from the ultra-fast 1 Gbps connection. It will enable users to connect VR headsets and view 360-degree content. Kiran Thomas, President, Reliance Industries Limited also boasted about the prowess of the new services which Reliance Jio will be offering.

Ambani informed that the registration for GigaFiber would commence on August 15 and they will be done entirely over MyJio app and the Jio official website (jio.com). It is also notable that Jio has decided that it would prioritise cities based on the response from each locale and how many users are registering from a particular city.
