Realme 3 Is a Big Upgrade Over Realme 2, Here’s Everything Different

Realme launched the Realme 3 in India soon after Xiaomi launched its Redmi Note 7 series in the country. The Realme 3 comes with a starting price of Rs 8,990 and succeeds last year's Realme 2. The Chinese smartphone company entered India last year and is just one year it became very popular thanks to its power-packed phones that come with an affordable price tag. The new Realme 3 is the same. The Realme 3 has been launched in India starting Rs 8,999. This price is for the base model of the phone that comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. The second model of the Realme 3 comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage and comes with a price tag of Rs 10,999. As for the value Realme 3 is offering, it won't be wrong to say that the company has come a long way from the Realme 2 to the new Realme. Let's consider all the differences between the two Realme phones.




Display and Design

The Realme 2 comes packed with a 6.2-inch HD+ display which offers an aspect ratio of 19:9. The Realme 3, in comparison, packs a 6.2-inch HD+ display with a 19:9 aspect ratio and offers a 1520x720p resolution. As for the overall design, both the Realme 2 and Realme 3 come with gradient finish which adds to the overall look of the phone. The Realme 3 comes in two colours -- Dynamic Black and Radiant Blue -- the Realme 2 also comes in two colours -- Diamond Black and Diamond Red.

Hardware and Software

On the hardware front, the Realme 2 is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 450 chipset with Adreno 506 GPU, while the Realme 3 is powered by a 2.1GHz octa-core Helio P70 chipset. The Realme 2 and Realme 3 come in two variants 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage and 4GB RAM/64GB storage. Both the Realme 2 and Realme 3 house a big 4230mAh battery. On the software front, the Realme 3 runs Android Pie-based ColorOS 6.0.

Cameras

Both the Realme 2 and Realme 3 include two cameras on the back and one on the front. The Realme 2 includes a 13MP primary sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor on the back. On the front, the phone includes an 8MP sensor similar to the Realme 1. The Realme 3, on the other hand, includes a 13MP + 2MP dual camera configuration on the back, for selfies the Realme 3 includes a 13MP.
