PUBG Mobile will receive a significant update in the form of 0.15.0 version this month. Tencent Games did not release any major features with the 0.14.5 update because it just brought the Royale Pass Season 9 functionality to the users. This October, the popular Battle Royale game, will get one of the biggest updates ever and it's going to bring a plethora of new features to the already feature-rich game. PUBG Mobile has been teasing several features of the upcoming 0.15.0 update on Twitter and some of them are exploding fuel canisters, ledge grab and BRDM-2 armoured vehicle. Already, it was confirmed the update would add Payload mode which will have Helicopters and new firearms to offer unique gameplay. Right now, we don't have any info on when the update is coming out for the users, but we're expecting it to come out between the second and third weeks of October.
PUBG Mobile 0.15.0 Update: Payload Feature, Ledge Grab and More
Tencent Games has been bringing several features that were present in the PC version of PUBG to PUBG Mobile and it will continue going forward as well. Firstly, the update will add two major features from PUBG PC, and they are Ledge Grab and Exploding Fuel Canisters. According to the information we have right now, ledge grab will allow players to reach new spots and attack opponents from new angles never before possible. And coming to the Exploding Fuel Canisters, as the name itself suggests, fuel cans in PUBG Mobile will explode if a player shoots at it or throws grenade at it. Both these features were present in PUBG PC for a while now.
As we already know, 0.15.0 update will also add Payload Mode which will be a new Evoground Mode. In the Payload mode, players will be able to travel in two vehicles- helicopter and the BRDM Vehicle, and the mode will also have vehicle repair kits so that players can quickly repair their own vehicle. Payload Mode will be available only in Erangel map similar to War mode in Arcade section.
It's also confirmed that the Armoured UAZ which players will be able to drive after shooting a Flare gun outside the Playzone will now be replaced with a new armoured vehicle called BRDM-2. It's also said that BRDM-2 will provide extra safety and security when racing to reach the zone line, similar to the Armoured UAZ.
Furthermore, we may see Tencent Games allowing the players itself designing their own Helmet and skins within the game. Right now, if a player wants a new skin of a respective firearm, then they will have to wait until PUBG Mobile releases it officially. However, 0.15.0 update is said to bring a 'Graffiti Stickers' functionality which allows players to design their Helmet skins and even Grenade skins will also be available post the update. This is an unconfirmed feature from Tencent Games for now, but it's available in the beta version of PUBG Mobile for a while now.
PUBG Mobile 0.15.0 Update: Expected Release Date
Right now, we don't have an exact release date of the PUBG Mobile 0.15.0 update, but we're expecting Tencent Games to release it between the second and third weeks of October. Already, we have reached the fifth week of Royale Pass Season 9 and it will end in the first week of November, so the update will reach when the Season 9 reached the sixth week or probably the seventh week.
