PUBG Mobile 0.16.0 update will start rolling out across the world on December 11, the company confirmed today. The update is expected to bring a lot of new features including new weather to the popular Erangel map and a brand new TDM mode called Rage Gear. PUBG Mobile Twitter handle also confirmed the update will weigh 600MB in size and the servers will not be taken down for maintenance so you can continue playing the game throughout the entire day. As for the Rage Gear mode, it's a new Evoground mode available alongside the current ones like Payload Mode, Zombie Mode and Team Deathmatch modes. Furthermore, post the update, users will also be able to switch between TPP and FPP modes with ease, similar to Call of Duty Mobile.

PUBG Moblie 0.16.0 Update: What to Expect?

Going by today's tweet from PUBG Mobile, the update will bring several Winter season exclusive tasks. We have installed the PUBG Mobile 0.16.0 beta update on our smartphone and noticed some new changes to the Erangel map. As this Winter season is kicking in, PUBG Mobile Erangel map is getting a Weather theme, meaning some parts of the map will be covered with Snow. Yes, you heard it right. Unlike Dynamic Weather mode in which fog covers the entire map after a certain duration, Snow will appear right from the lobby itself as part of this upcoming Erangel Map Weather theme. That said, only some parts of the Erangel map will be covered with snow. In short, PUBG Mobile is making to Erangel map look like Vikendi map with this new Weather update. Similar to Dynamic weather feature, the Snow mode will also appear randomly.

As for the other features, PUBG Mobile is finally getting the much-awaited switching between TPP and FPP modes. Call of Duty Mobile has this feature right from the day it launched, but for some unknown reasons, Tencent Games has delayed the launch of this feature. After this feature, players will be able to switch between TPP-FPP and vice-versa with ease. In the beta version, it allowed us to just switch from TPP to FPP in the Team Deathmatch mode and not in Classic games, but the final version may allow players to use this feature even in Classic matches as well.

PUBG Mobile is Getting a Brand New Rage Gear Mode

Tencent Games is working so hard in bringing new Evoground modes to the players. With every new major update, there's a new Evoground mode being introduced to the game. Firstly, it was the Zombie Mode followed by the Infection Mode. Very recently, with the 0.15.0 update, PUBG Mobile got the Payload Mode, and now, we're getting the Rage Gear mode.

The Rage Gear mode was first demonstrated at the PUBG Mobile Fall Spilt Finals in Malaysia last week. Rage Gear mode is a battle with armoured vehicles. Situated at a venue in Miramar, Rage Gear mode allows players to fight using armoured vehicles. There will be exclusive weapons, including rocket launchers to destroy the vehicles of enemies. Players can collect the required loot from the cars itself. In the beta version, the Rage Gear mode was extremely buggy so we weren't able to test it properly. The official launch of the Rage Gear mode is just two days away, so stay tuned for that.
