Panasonic has quietly introduced a budget quad core offering in the country, the P31 for Rs 11,999 which comes with a slew of software functionalities which you don’t usually find in the budget quad core devices. Let us take a look at its specifications:

  • 1.3 GHz quad core Mediatek processor which powers almost every other budget device in the country
  • 8GB internal memory which can be expanded via a microSD card by another 32GB
  • 1GB RAM
  • Android 4.2 Jelly Bean
  • Play Life interface which gets Gesture Play, Draw-to-unlock, Pop-i Player which lets you multitask while watching videos, Music café and Ultimate Saver which helps improve battery life. You get Heat-Sink functionality too which reduces the temperature of the device courtesy of controlled heat dissipation.
  • 8MP rear camera with support for 1080p videos which gets coupled with a VGA front camera
  • Dual SIM, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS
  • White and Dark Blue colours

Panasonic is offering a slew of freebies with the device which total up to worth Rs 10,390 and will go on sale starting next week. Panasonic would have nailed it completely with a 720p screen but the slew of software functionalities and freebies make up for that. It will surely prove to be a worthy competitor in the sub Rs 15,000 budget quad core arena.
