Orange Romania Expands 5G Network Coverage to Baia Mare

Orange Romania continues its nationwide expansion of the 5G/5G+ network, providing residents and businesses in Baia Mare access to ultra-fast speeds of up to 1.5 Gbps. According to the official release, starting last Tuesday, the Baia Mare residents will not only enjoy the ultra-fast speeds of the 5G+ network but also benefit from complete coverage, reaching 100 percent.

Extensive 100 Percent Coverage Across the City

Baia Mare now joins the list of recently covered cities, bringing the Orange 5G/5G+ network to 34 locations across the country, including Arad, Bacau, Craiova, Brasov, Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Constanta, Iasi, Miercurea Ciuc, Sibiu, Suceava, Oradea, Timisoara, and Targu Mures, as well as various localities in the Ilfov county, mountain resorts, and summer destinations.

The number of cities benefiting from 100 percent 5G coverage has also increased, now including Arad, Baia Mare, Bucharest, Miercurea-Ciuc, Satu Mare, Sibiu, Suceava, and Targu Mures.

Customers with an Orange 5G subscription and a compatible device will have access to Romania's fastest 5G network, delivering ultra-rapid speeds of up to 1.5 Gbps. According to the statement, Orange Romania users have consistently enjoyed the highest average speeds in the country over the past six years, both for fixed and mobile internet.

Orange Romania 5G Offers and Benefits

In celebration of the 5G launch in Baia Mare, exclusive offers are available in local Orange stores until August 16. Customers can take advantage of the special Buy-Back 5G program, receiving a 100 euro discount instead of the standard 40 euros when purchasing a 5G phone by trading in an old device valued at a minimum of 10 euros.

Furthermore, Orange said customers in Baia Mare enjoy a 20 percent discount on 5G, FUN02, FUN11, FUN12, and FUN13 subscriptions for the entire contract duration when concluded in Orange stores by August 16, 2023.

New Options for Businesses

Orange also announced that Baia Mare customers can now take advantage of its offer, which includes Wi-Fi 5G fixed-point solutions for public administrations or companies. The Office Net 5G subscription provides reliable internet access, and the Wi-Fi 6 router is included in the 24-month package for free, making it possible to connect multiple smart devices wirelessly.
