OnePlus is not known for reducing prices of its smartphones within just two months of launch. But that has happened for the first time. OnePlus 7T, which was launched in India on September 26 for Rs 37,999, is currently retailing for Rs 34,999 in the country. The discounted price is already effective on Amazon India and it’s part of the e-commerce company’s five years of partnership with the Chinese smartphone vendor. The base variant of the OnePlus 7T with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage is available for Rs 34,999, whereas the 8GB+256GB can be picked up for Rs 37,999. That said, customers can avail an additional Rs 1,500 off via HDFC cards which brings down the overall price to Rs 33,499 and Rs 36,499, respectively. The new prices are already effective only on Amazon India and it will continue till December 2.

OnePlus 7T at Rs 33,499 is the Best Android Phone Right Now

OnePlus 7T came as a successor to the OnePlus 7 and it brought several new features to the table. The OnePlus 7T features a 6.55-inch Full HD+ Fluid AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 855+ chipset, up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.0 storage, 48MP triple rear camera setup, 3800mAh battery with WarpCharge 30T technology and Android 10-based OxygenOS 10.0. The specs of the smartphone sound just like any other flagship phone available in the market, but the user experience is actually what makes the OnePlus 7T a winner.

The 90Hz screen is a treat to use and OxygenOS responsiveness adds up to the overall user experience. The phone is also compact in nature, thanks to the usage of teardrop notch. Performance-wise, the phone handles even intensive tasks with ease. In our full review, we mentioned that the software experience hasn’t been up to the mark on the OnePlus 7T, but since then, the company has pushed three software updates which removed all the bugs and made the phone a powerhouse.

Battery life on the OnePlus 7T is also pretty good as I have been using the device since the day it launched in India. Coming to the cameras, they are the best in the segment. Period.

The rear cameras on the OnePlus 7T include a 48MP primary Sony IMX586 lens with f/1.6 aperture, 12MP telephoto lens and 16MP ultra-wide-angle lens. The primary camera captures images with a great amount of details and so does the ultra-wide-angle sensor. OnePlus even added the option to record ultra-wide-angle videos on the 7T and there’s a dedicated macro mode as well to shoot close up shots. As said in the full review, the Macro mode implementation by OnePlus is by far the best till date.

Other features like the in-display fingerprint scanner, NFC support, stereo speakers and linear motor enhance the user experience.

OnePlus 7T vs Realme X2 Pro: Which is the Best Affordable Flagship Phone?

The Realme X2 Pro was recently announced in India and it has some impressive features. The X2 Pro from Realme is the cheapest phone in India right now with 90Hz screen and it’s also the fastest charging phone in the country with 50W Super VOOC charging technology. The phone also has 64MP quad-camera setup on the back. But the ColorOS software will be a deal-breaker for many. Even at Rs 37,999, the OnePlus 7T was a really good smartphone, but at Rs 33,499, it’s a go-to device compared to the Realme X2 Pro.

How to Purchase OnePlus 7T at Rs 33,449?

As part of its fifth-year partnership celebration with OnePlus, Amazon India has discounted the OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7 Pro smartphones by up to Rs 3,000. The base variant of the OnePlus 7T is available at Rs 34,999, followed by the high-end model at Rs 37,999. On top of the sale prices, HDFC cardholders can avail additional Rs 1,500 discount which brings down the prices to Rs 33,499 and Rs 36,499, respectively.

On the other hand, the OnePlus 7 Pro now starts at Rs 39,999 in the country. The 6GB+128GB variant of the OnePlus 7 Pro is available at Rs 39,999, and with the Rs 1,500 discount, the final price comes down to Rs 38,499. The 8GB+256GB variant of the OnePlus 7 Pro is priced at Rs 42,999 (after discount Rs 41,499). OnePlus did not announce any discount offers for the OnePlus 7T Pro and the OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition smartphones. Also, the OnePlus 7 is still retailing at a price of Rs 29,999 in India.
