OnePlus 7 Pro Camera Specifications Leaked, To Include a 48MP Rear Camera and 16MP Wide-Angle Sensor

Given the hype among people for the upcoming OnePlus device, the OnePlus 7 and the OnePlus 7 Pro, it is no surprise that the phone has been the victim of numerous leaks, but now it seems that the wait for most people is nearing an end as the company itself is starting to talk about it. OnePlus CEO Pete Lau shared a video on his Twitter handle which teased the upcoming OnePlus 7 smartphone. The tagline of the video was “Fast and Smooth”. In a more recent tweet from the CEO, the executive has also hinted towards some announcement about the launch event. Furthermore, a new leak has revealed the camera specifications of the OnePlus 7 Pro which includes a 48MP primary sensor, 16MP wide-angle shooter and an 8MP telephoto shooter.




More Details on Launch Event on April 23

CEO Pete Lau tweeted that OnePlus will be making an official announcement about the launch event of the OnePlus 7 on April 23. Interestingly, as the launch date is nearing a new leak has again surfaced on the internet which tells us about the camera specifications of the OnePlus 7 Pro, which we will get to in a while. As for the launch event, tipster Ishan Agrawal has already suggested that the phones will be launched globally on May 14. He has also shared additional details about this new launch, revealed some images of the smartphone and revealed a poster which gave away the tagline of the new device “Go Beyond Speed”.

OnePlus 7 Pro Camera Specifications Leaked

Now it is pretty evident that the launch of the new OnePlus 7 line-up is supposed to be next month only, but exactly when, we will be finding out on April 23. Now coming back to the leak about the camera set up on the OnePlus 7 Pro, a Twitter user @Samsung_News_ has revealed that the 48MP shooter on the phone will accompany 8MP telephoto lens with 3x zoom and 16MP ultra-wide-angle lens which will offer a 117-degree field of view. The tweet also revealed the aperture of these lenses and noted that the telephoto lens would have an f/2.4 aperture whereas the ultra-wide-lens will have f/2.2 aperture. Apart from this, the OnePlus 7 Pro has been revealed to sport the pop-up selfie camera following a set of new CAD renders. However, the resolution of this camera has not been revealed yet.

Other Known Details About OnePlus 7 Line-up

There are a few additional things that we currently know about the OnePlus 7 and the OnePlus 7 Pro. The first being that the standard OnePlus 7 variant will resemble the OnePlus 6T in design. As for the Pro variant, it will fashion a triple rear camera setup. About performance, the OnePlus 7 line-up has been revealed to pack the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC. Some other leak has also claimed that it will be the first smartphone from OnePlus to feature the Quad HD+ resolution Super AMOLED display with a 90 Hz refresh rate.
