Nokia 7.1 and Nokia 6.1 Receive Price Cuts Up to Rs 7,000 on Nokia Online Store

The year 2018 was a particularly good one for the Finnish upstart company, HMD Global in India. The brand released some very noteworthy devices last year in India and this year, the brand has been launching the follow-up devices of the instalments that it debuted last year. Some of these popular devices include the Nokia 6.1 and Nokia 7.1. To give the sales of these two phones, another push, HMD Global has slashed the prices of the Nokia 7.1 and the Nokia 6.1. As of this writing, the prices on the Nokia online stores have reflected the new prices, whereas the prices on online marketplaces like Amazon and Flipkart are yet to show changes. To recall, the Nokia 6.1 was launched a year ago in August 2018, whereas the Nokia 7.1 was launched in November last year.




Nokia 7.1 and Nokia 6.1 Updated Prices

The new updated pricing on the Nokia online website highlights that the Nokia 7.1 has received a total price cut of Rs 7,000 as compared from the launching price of the phone. The phone now retails for Rs 12,999. The Nokia 7.1 was launched with a price tag of Rs 19,999, and it had received a price cut back in April which had brought its price down to Rs 17,999. The heavy price cut on Nokia 7.1 makes the device a very attractive buy now, and if you have been thinking of getting your hands on this device for a while now, then this might be your cue.

Now on to Nokia 6.1, the online price listing on the Nokia online store highlights that the phone has been brought down to the price tag of Rs 11,999 for the 4GB RAM variant. The 6GB RAM variant of the phone which was introduced a bit later has now been brought down to Rs 14,999. As compared to the Nokia 7.1, the price cuts on the Nokia 6.1 is a bit less. To recall, the Nokia 6.1 4GB RAM variant was launched with a price tag of Rs 15,999, whereas the 6GB RAM variant of the phone was launched for Rs 18,499. Right now, it’s not sure that whether or not these prices are permanent or whether they are part of a promotional sale.

Nokia 7.1 and Nokia 6.1 Specifications

Nokia 7.1 features a 5.84-inch full-HD+ PureDisplay panel with an aspect ratio of 19:9. The display on the device supports HDR10 and comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The phone sports a Snapdragon 636 SoC with 4GB of RAM. On the camera front, the phone comes with a 12MP primary sensor with an f/1.8 lens and a 5MP secondary sensor with an f/2.4 lens. On the front, there is an 8MP f/2.0 lens and 84-degree of field-of-view on this sensor. The device comes with 64GB of storage, and it packs a 3,060mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging.

Nokia 6.1 Plus features a 5.8-inch full-HD+ display, and it is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Under the hood, the phone packs octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC accompanied by 4GB and 6GB RAM. The dual rear camera setup on the phone packs a 16MP primary sensor with an f/2.0 lens and 1-micron pixels, while the secondary 5MP monochrome sensor comes with f/2.4 lens and 1.12-micron pixels. There is also a dual-tone flash module on the rear setup, whereas, on the front, the smartphone comes with an f/2.0 16MP lens and 1-micron pixels. This phone also comes with 3,060mAh battery and fast charging technology.
