A new Nokia phone has been spotted on the USA FCC website, and the latest listing reveals some of the major specifications and design related parameters of the device. This new listing on the FCC website bears the model number TA-1157, and it is an Android One device as per the branding on the back which the FCC update has pointed out. Another thing which we get to see according to this latest revelation is that the phone comes with a dual rear camera setup which is paired with an LED flash. What’s more, we also get a hint about a fingerprint sensor on the back side which has been placed in the middle much like the other Nokia phones out there.
FCC Listing TA-1157 Details
It is noteworthy that the popular leakster Slashleaks spotted the latest listing about the TA-1157 Nokia phone on FCC and it revealed some detailed descriptions about the phone. As per the FCC update, the phone measures 148.95mm in length and 71.3mm in width and measures 165.1mm diagonally. Further, it has been revealed that when it comes to connectivity, the phone will feature capabilities of Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and have support for LTE bands 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 20, 28, 38, 40, and 41. Going by the schematic diagram of the TA-1157, the device will also have an NFC antenna around the camera sensor setup.
Although the actual name of this Nokia device has not been revealed yet, we still know that the TA-1157 will come in two variants. The first variant of the phone will pack 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage, whereas the higher variant of the phone will come with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. The phone will also have a microSD card option in case the users want to expand the storage.
Possibly the Nokia 3.1 or Nokia 5.1 Successor
Lastly, the FCC filing has revealed that the phone will pack a 3,000mAh battery under the hood, and as we mentioned above, it won’t really be a surprise if Nokia debuts this phone as an Android One offering like it has been doing for all of its phones up till now. This sums up all the information which we could gather about Nokia’s latest FCC filing, but there is no substantial basis to say what model this phone could really be. As per our speculations, the TA-1157 could very well be the Nokia 3.1 successor or the successor of the Nokia 5.1 also. Another thing to note is the timing of this listing, which hints towards the possibility of this phone being launched in MWC 2019.
