As it should be, Microsoft who owns Nokia Devices now, is going to eliminate Android threat from the house.
As per immediate effect Microsoft will shift selected Nokia X designs to Lumia team for more affordable Windows Phone devices, while existing X series phones will be continued to be sold till stock lasts.

Before Microsoft’s acquisition, Nokia was running trials for its own Android line up which eventually launched as Nokia X line up. Though fanboys of Android & Nokia were happy, Nokia X did not find much success compared to other Android handset makers.
At the same time Microsoft to integrate Nokia’s assets to its DNA. That plan comes with biggest pink slip handover to the employees. Around 18,000 job cuts incl. 12,500 from Nokia will be done by 2015.
As Nokia X series to be axed off, Microsoft is busy launching other X phones in global markets, which includes Nokia X2 which will be launched in India next month.
