There has been a new HMD Global launch brewing in the news right now. On the June 6, #GetAhead event scheduled in India, we are expecting the Finnish brand to launch the Nokia 6.2. Although there have been speculations about which phone the brand is going to be launched at the upcoming event, one of the candidates for the limelight is the Nokia 6.2 We say this because, in the run-up to the launch event, Nokia has launched a new Google Ad campaign in India advertising the Nokia 6.2. This has led us to believe that instead of any other device, the Nokia 6.2 might be the one debuting in the upcoming event.
Nokia 6.2 India Launch Details
As per this new ad spotted online, the Nokia 6.2 will be debuting with a price tag of Rs 18,999 which translates to about 245 Euros. This pricing is approximately 10 Euros lower than the possible price of the Nokia 6.2 in Russia. It is worth noting that the Nokia 6.2 is going to be the successor of the popular Nokia 6 series which had gone on to sell a large number of units in India thus re-establishing Nokia’s foothold in the country once again. Now we expect the Nokia 6.2 to pack impressive hardware, so there is a high chance that the Nokia 6.2 might once again resonate with the Indian buyers.
Now many more speculations have surfaced online which have claimed that the Nokia 6.2 which is set to be launched in the upcoming #GetAhead India event is the rebranded version of the Nokia X71 which was launched back in April in China. There is a high chance that these rumours might be right and the Nokia 6.2 might indeed be the rebranded version of the Nokia X71 from China. This also means that the Nokia 9 PureView which we had speculated to be the candidate for the launch might not likely make its entry to the Indian markets just yet.
Nokia 6.2 Likely Specifications
Coming to the specs of the Nokia X71 or the Nokia 6.2, the device has been said to feature a 48MP camera with Carl Zeiss branding and a pairing with a 120-degree ultra-wide angle lens. On the display front, the device will sport a 6.22-inch AMOLED display with a punch-hole to house the front camera. Under the hood, there is a chance that Nokia might introduce this phone with a Snapdragon 700 series chipset instead of a 600 series one like in the China variant to better dominate the competition. The device will likely sport a 3500mAh battery with fast charging support, and on the pricing front, we have already got a heads up regarding the Rs 18,999 price tag of Nokia 6.2.
