Nokia 2.2 Now Available at a Starting Price of Rs 5,999 in India After Price Cut

HMD Global has slashed the price of Nokia 2.2 smartphone in India. The Nokia 2.2 is the cheapest Android One smartphone in the country right now and the new prices start at Rs 5,999. For the asking price, the Nokia 2.2 is a decent buy, but do make a note that there are other phones like the Xiaomi Redmi 8A and Realme C2 with better specs in the similar price range. That said, the Nokia 2.2 has the Android One advantage going for it as the company rolls out monthly security patch updates to the smartphone. Other features of the Nokia 2.2 include dedicated Google Assistant button to the left, software-based Face Unlock feature, 13MP rear-facing camera and Helio A22 chipset. The Nokia 2.2 comes in two variants with up to 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.

Nokia 2.2: Specifications and Features

The Nokia 2.2 arrived as a successor to the Nokia 2.1 which was launched back in 2018. The smartphone sports a massive 5.71-inch HD+ display on the front with a teardrop notch and 19:9 aspect ratio. The phone is powered by the MediaTek Helio A22 chipset, coupled with up to 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The phone comes in two variants- 2GB+16GB and 3GB+32GB and both the variants received a price cut today. The phone also has a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 400GB.

All the Nokia smartphones launched in 2019 featured a dedicated hardware key for Google Assistant on the left side. Phones like the Nokia 7.2, Nokia 3.2 and Nokia 4.2 all featured the hardware key and the Nokia 2.2 is no exception. As for the cameras, we’re looking at a 13MP single shooter on the back and a 5MP shooter is present on the front.
