After being in the leaks for more than four weeks, Motorola has silently unveiled the Motorola One Vision smartphone in Brazil and other North American markets. The Motorola One Vision could probably be the successor to the Motorola One Power that was launched in India last year for Rs 15,999. The One Vision uses an Exynos chipset, has a display with 21:9 aspect ratio and runs Android 9 Pie out of the box. At the moment, it's unknown when Motorola will launch the One Vision in India, but with the company losing the battle to Chinese companies, we might see it bringing the One Vision to the sub-continent in the next few weeks. Like several other smartphones releasing these days, the Motorola One Vision also comes with a 48MP rear camera and a 25MP selfie shooter is present on the front. Let's dive in and see what the Motorola One Vision has in store for us.

Motorola One Vision: Design and Display

Unlike the Motorola One Power which had a metallic body, the One Vision has a glass back with the fingerprint scanner residing on the top centre. Motorola did reveal that the One Vision has a Corning Gorilla Glass on the rear side. The phone comes with a 6.3-inch Full HD+ display which has an aspect ratio of 21:9; We have seen the same screen used by Sony on its smartphones and it's now being used by Motorola. Almost all the smartphones coming these days offer a 19:9 aspect ratio, but the One Vision is bit different. The display has a resolution of 1080x2520 pixels.

Unlike the Sony phones which had thick bezels on the top and bottom, the Motorola One Vision boasts of a punch-hole screen which reduces the overall footprint of the phone. The phone measures 181 grams, which is very decent as the Motorola One Power weighs around 200 grams.

Motorola One Vision: Hardware, Software and Other Features

Aforesaid, the One Vision is the first smartphone from Motorola to make use of Samsung's Exynos chipset. Under-the-hood, we get to see the Exynos 9609 processor paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It seems like the phone comes in a single variant and it also has a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 512GB.

Other hardware features include the rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

As for the software, the phone runs Android 9 Pie out of the box with stock Android. Motorola did not detail any new software features, but it's likely to add new ones to its 2019 lineup. The company also promising Android Q and Android R software updates because it's an Android One smartphone.

Coming to the battery, the Lenovo-owned company has added a 3500mAh unit underneath with support for Motorola's TurboPower fast charging technology. Motorola claims the One Vision will offer seven hours of battery with 15 minutes of charge.

Motorola One Vision: Cameras

The One Vision has two cameras on the rear side- a 48MP primary sensor and a 5MP depth sensor. The 48MP shooter seems to be the Samsung GM1 as the company clearly mentioned Quad Pixel technology on the official website. As for video recording, the phone can shoot 4K footage at 30 fps. Up front, there's a 25MP selfie shooter with an aperture of f/2.0.

The camera offers features like Night Vision, Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) and Portrait Lighting.

Motorola One Vision: Availability and Pricing

The smartphone will be available in Brazil starting today. It will be available from mid-May throughout Europe starting at the promotional launch price of €299 RRP (approx. Rs 23,500) and from May 16 in Saudi Arabia & Thailand. Indian launch details are yet to be revealed by the company.
