Motorola Starts Teasing the Launch of Moto G6 Plus in India

Motorola is going to launch the Moto G6 Plus in India very soon as the company has started teasing the device on Twitter officially. The hashtag used by the company is #BuiltForMore for the Moto G6 Plus, but there's no launch date mentioned on the tweet though. Maybe the device could be unveiled during the second week of August. Also, Motorola might be launching an upgraded Moto G6 Plus in India with Snapdragon 636 SoC, instead of the Snapdragon 630 variant like it did in some markets. Having said that, Motorola has delayed the launch of the G6 Plus in India by a couple of months which could be due to the change in processor. Do make a note that there's no confirmation from Motorola regarding the change in processor.

Earlier today, Motorola posted a tweet as "It’s time to ask for more from your smartphone. We’re all set to bring you one that is #BuiltForMore. Tweet to know what we’re launching next!." The Moto G6 Plus was unveiled back in April 2018 alongside the Moto G6 and G6 Play smartphones. The Moto G6 and G6 Play smartphones already made their way into the Indian market in June and very recently, the company has launched the Moto E5 and E5 Plus smartphones too.

The Moto G6 Plus sports a 5.99-inch Full HD+ display on the front and carries a resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels. At the heart of the phone, there's the Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 chipset, coupled with 3GB/4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage. In India, the device could be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset to take on the Redmi Note 5 Pro and Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1.

The G6 Plus, like the Moto G6 sports dual rear cameras of 12MP and 5MP with f/1.7 aperture and dual pixel PDAF. On the front, the phone has an 8MP shooter. The G6 Plus will be available in three colours: Gold, Deep Indigo and Nimbus. It's backed by a 3200mAh battery.

It's interesting to see how Motorola prices the Moto G6 Plus in India. If it comes with the same Snapdragon 630 chipset, then it will attract fewer buyers in the country. Motorola has been off the radar this year with its pricing strategy. The Moto G6 with Snapdragon 450 SoC is priced at Rs 13,999 and Rs 16,999, so it's expected the Moto G6 Plus will retail at over Rs 20,000 or Rs 19,999 could be the starting price.
