Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2, Nokia 8.1 and Other Mobile Phones Expected to Launch in December

Overall, 2018 has been a great year for smartphone manufacturers and even in terms of smartphone innovation as we got to see new designs, latest specs and some breakthrough concerning the new tech involved. With December already here, we are expecting that the smartphone makers will pack the last few days of this year with phone launches to finish the year on a high note. Also, since Christmas is nearby, we expect the manufacturers to ship offers along with these new phones. Read ahead to check out the phones which are expected to launch in December 2018.

Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2

When Asus launched the Zenfone Max Pro M1, the phone became a massive success thanks to its features like the 5,000mAh battery, decent performance and impressive camera quality. Now Asus is expected to top up this success with the launch of the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 before the year-end. The Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 will come with a 6-inch Full HD+ display and will likely feature the Snapdragon 660 SoC. Apart from that, the smartphone is also expected to feature a triple rear camera setup, staying true to the new trends. Even, the phone will come with a glass back and will debut in 32GB and 64GB variant. There have also been reports about Asus retaining the 5000mAh battery, which will make the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 a winner in and around the Rs 15,000 price tag.

Huawei Mate 20 Pro

The Huawei Mate 20 Pro is yet another stellar offering by the Taiwanese manufacturer. The phone features a 6.39-inch Full HD+ display protected with Corning Gorilla Glass. Speaking of performance, the phone packs the in-house manufactured Kirin 980 SoC which is accompanied by 6GB/8GB of RAM for smooth performance. The Mate 20 Pro truly stands apart in terms of the camera as it packs a triple camera setup housed in a square configuration. This setup consists of a 40MP wide-angle lens, 20MP ultrawide lens, and an 8MP telephoto lens. On the front, we get to see a 24MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture. Further, the phone packs a 4,300mAh battery, and it comes with wireless charging support.

Realme U1

The Realme U1 is the latest offering by the new Oppo sub-brand which branched out recently. This new phone by Realme comes with a special emphasis on selfie-snapping as it features a 25MP front camera. To bump up the camera quality, the phone debuts with features like AIBeauty+ mode and smart group selfie mode. The rear camera setup consists of 13MP+2MP sensors which offer features like portrait lighting and AI Scene detection. The Realme U1 also earns the title of being the first phone to sport the Helio P70 SoC. The device features a waterdrop notch on a 6.3-inch display and packs a 3,500mAh battery. It is expected to be launched in 32GB and 64GB variants.

Nokia 8.1

Very recently, HMD Global launched the Nokia 7.1 in India which is slated to go on sale on December 7. However, HMD will be progressing its line-up of smartphones in December with the launch of the Nokia 8.1, which is the rebranded version of the Nokia X7 released in China before. The Nokia 8.1 features a 6.18-inch Full HD+ display and packs the powerful mid-range processor, the Snapdragon 710. This SoC comes paired with 4GB or 6GB of RAM depending on the variant. The Nokia 8.1 will come with either 64GB or 128GB of internal storage. The dual rear setup will consist of 12MP + 13MP sensors with Carl Zeiss certification, while the front camera will be a 20MP snapper. This device packs a 3500mAh battery and comes in Dark Blue, Night Red, Magic Night Silver and Night Black variants. The phone is expected to make its debut in India on December 10.

Oppo R17 Pro

The Oppo R17 Pro is the latest offering from the popular OEM, and it comes with a 6.4-inch Full HD+ display featuring a waterdrop notch on top with the protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 6. The handset packs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC accompanied by 8GB of RAM. This phone also comes with a triple rear camera setup which comprises of a 12MP sensor with f/1.5 and f/2.4 aperture, a 20MP sensor with f/2.6 aperture and a 3D depth sensor. The front-facing selfie snapper on the phone is a 25MP sensor. Keeping the lights on is a 3,700mAh battery which comes equipped with VOOC Flash Charge technology, and the phone is scheduled to launch on December 4th.

Meizu 16TH

Meizu with its latest offering seems to be countering the OnePlus 6T. The next phone in Meizu’s line-up which is the 16TH is expected to launch this month, and it will also come with an in-display fingerprint sensor similar to the OnePlus 6T. The phone will feature a 6-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution on an 18:9 aspect ratio screen. Under the hood, the phone will run on the top-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, paired with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The Meizu 16TH comes with a dual rear camera setup consisting of 20MP and 12MP sensors. The front snapper on the phone is a 20MP sensor. The battery on the device is a 3,010mAh cell, and as per the renders spotted online, the phone might debut in a while colour option as well.
