US Internet Service Provider (ISP) Metronet has launched a USD 30 million project to build a fiber-optic network, bringing multi-gigabit internet service to Wilmington's homes and businesses. Metronet will offer speeds up to five gigabits per second for residents and ten gigabits per second for businesses. The first customers are expected to receive service this fall, the company announced this week.
