Sleeker Design

The new MacBook Air 2018 comes with a wedge-shaped design as claimed by Apple and it is thinner, lighter and sturdier as compared to the last generation MacBook. As highlighted by Apple, this new laptop cuts down on 17% of volume and also comes off as 10% thinner. The weight of the laptop has also gone down to 1.24kg, making it 110 grams lighter as compared to the previous MacBook Air. Since Apple has used a new material to build this MacBook Air, it promises 50% less carbon footprint owing to the 100% recycled aluminium alloy designed by Apple.

Retina Display

Retina Display products have been Apple’s highly praised devices. However, MacBook Air buyers had to make do with lower resolutions until the last line-up, but with the new 2018 model, Apple has also brought the retina display to the MacBook Air as well. The new MacBook Air 2018 gets a 13.3-inch Retina display which renders 4 million pixels of resolution. If compared to the last MacBook Air, this new laptop offers 48% more colours on-screen.
