Loop Telecom Closer To Leave Market, Asks Subscribers To Port Out

After S Tel and Cheers Mobile /Etisalat DB, Now Loop Telecom whose mobile service licenses has been canceled by the Supreme Court under 2G verdict, has now come forward and asked all its GSM customers in 13 telecom circles (excluding Loop Mobile, Mumbai) to port out their mobile number to another operator using Mobile Number Portability (MNP) prior to the scheduled suspension of Loop Telecom's Mobile services in all respective circles.




According to our exclusive sources, Loop Telecom sent notice to approx 6,000+ mobile subscribers in Assam, Bihar, Gujarat, Haryana, Karnataka, Kolkata, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, North East, Orissa, Punjab, Rajasthan and Uttar pradesh (West) and asks to switch from its network to any other operator of respective circle using MNP. Our sources claims that Loop Telecom will completely shut down its mobile service operations by 15th May 2012.

Loop Telecom said “Customers are encouraged to ‘port out’ their Loop mobile number to a network of their choice as soon as possible or till 30th April, 2012 by following the process prescribed by India’s telecommunications regulator the TRAI.

Please Note : There will be no effect on Loop Mobile (Mumbai)'s services who's CMTS license was acquired before 2008 by Essar group and Loop Mobile will continue its services in Mumbai.

Loop Telecom's mobile customers can generate UPC code to switch over to another operator in their circle by visiting circle office or online from operator's web site. 

In case of any assistance, Loop Telecom's customer can call  MobileAssist at 198 (toll-free) or call 121 (toll free) for inquiry from your Loop Telecom phone or call 1800-2090888 from a landline.
