According to our sources, the homegrown smartphone brand will soon launch a new smartphone named Lava A77 in India with entry-level specifications. The Lava A77 will be a downgraded variant of the Lava A73 unveiled three months back for Rs. 5149. Also, the phone will feature almost all the similar specifications as the A73, minus the screen size.

The Lava A77 will feature a 4.5-inch FWVGA display with a resolution of 480x854 pixels. The device will be powered by a quad-core chipset with a clock speed of 1.3GHz. The highlight of the device will be the front-facing camera of 5MP which comes with support for a LED flash.

The rear camera will also be a 5MP one which also comes with a LED flash. The chipset is accompanied by 1GB of RAM and 8GB of native storage. The Lava A77 will also accept microSD cards up to 32GB for storage expansion.

The smartphone will feature 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a micro USB port as well. A 2000mAh battery will back the entire package, and the phone will run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.

Our source also said that the device might be priced at Rs. 4,999 but the retail price will be slightly lower than the MRP. The Lava A77 will be announced in coming days and will go against the Xiaomi Redmi 4A, which is priced at Rs. 5999. The Redmi 4A has better hardware than the Lava A77, and the upcoming smartphone will not stand a chance in front of the Redmi 4A. The smartphone official launch date is yet to be known. We will update you if there's any information regarding the launch date.
