High-flying telecom operator Reliance Jio today introduced a new entry-level tariff plan for JioPhone users. The company has come up with a Rs 49 tariff plan which offers 1GB of 4G data and unlimited voice calls without any limit for 28 days. This is one of the best plans from Jio, and it will also help the company to increase the sales of JioPhones in large number.

Alongside the Rs 49 tariff plan, Jio also introduced four sachet plans of Rs 11, Rs 21, Rs 51, and Rs 101. As of this writing, we don't have info about these sachet plans.

For JioPhone users, the telco also has another plan of Rs 153, which was launched alongside JioPhone in July last year. The Rs 153 plan now gives 1GB of high-speed data, and unlimited voice calls for 28 days.

The all-new Rs 49 plan is aimed at heavy voice calling users, and customers will be pleased with this move from Jio.

Recently, it was reported that Reliance Jio's parent company Reliance Retail managed to sell more than 15 million JioPhones in the last quarter of 2017, which is from October-December 2017. And for those users, this plan is a steal. Reliance Retail is also the leading feature phone brand in India as per Counterpoint report.

Also, this new entry-level plan will help the Mukesh Ambani-led telco to lure more consumers to purchase the JioPhone, and that could be the reason behind this new plan introduction.

The JioPhone is currently available for Rs 1,500 which will be refunded to customers after three years. You can purchase a JioPhone by heading over to nearest major retail store if you're interested.
