Reliance Jio, Vodafone Idea and Bharti Airtel Offer Annual Prepaid Plan, But BSNL Does it the Best

A year ago, long-term plans were not a thing in the telecom industry but propelled by the data tariff war the telecom operators have introduced different plans which come at a high cost but offer a longer offering. The long term plans which the telcos like Reliance Jio, Vodafone Idea and BSNL have introduced come with validities like six months, and a year. Out of all the long term plans that the telcos are offering, the Rs 1,699 prepaid plan is the most popular one. For most telcos, this plan comes with similar benefits, validity and extra freebies. But, presently few telcos are offering extra benefits which go beyond the benefits being offered by the competing telcos, thus making them more attractive.

BSNL Rs 1,699 Prepaid Plan

The Rs 1,699 prepaid plans is perhaps the most attractive one among all the others listed here. This plan comes with a 365 days validity. The plan offers 2GB data per day to the subscribers and there is obviously the added benefit of unlimited calls and 100 SMS per day with this plan. However, what makes this plan truly attractive is the validity extension which BSNL has introduced on this plans. As part of the festive offer, BSNL is now offering 455 days validity on this plan instead of 365. It is worth noting that BSNL was offering this validity extension last month as well, but now the offer has been extended to October 31. Not only this, but there is also the BSNL Bumper Offer which extends the data limit of the plan by 2.2GB meaning that in total the subscribers get to enjoy 4.2GB data in total.

Airtel Rs 1,699 Prepaid Plan

The Rs 1,699 prepaid plan from Airtel is simply the extension of its lower-end prepaid plans, and its benefits resemble that of some of the lower-priced plans from Airtel prepaid portfolio. This plan by Airtel offers 1.4GB daily data to the subscribers. Along with this, subscribers get to enjoy unlimited local, STD and roaming calls. The plan comes with 365 days validity, and it also bundles 100 SMS per day. There are a lot of benefits bundled with this plan which includes subscription to Wynk Music app, Airtel TV Premium subscription, Norton Mobile Security for 1 year, and cashback on a 4G device of up to Rs 2,000.

Vodafone Rs 1,699 Prepaid Plan

The Rs 1,699 prepaid plan by Vodafone is similar to Airtel’s prepaid offering of the same cost but offers slightly more data. The prepaid plan bundles 1.5GB daily data, and it comes with unlimited local, STD and roaming calls. The validity of this plan is 365 days, and the voucher also bundles 100 SMS per day as well. When it comes to additional benefits, the subscribers will be able to enjoy free live TV, movies and more on Vodafone Play app.

Reliance Jio Rs 1,699 Prepaid Plan

Similar to Vodafone, Reliance Jio also offers 1.5GB data per day to its subscribers. Along with this, the telco bundles free unlimited local, STD and roaming calls with 100 SMS per day. The subscribers also get access to Reliance Jio’s host of apps which includes JioSaavn, Jio TV, JioCinema and more.

Why Rs 1,699 Prepaid Plan is Popular?

The long term prepaid plans, specially the ones which come with a year long validity have seen many takers in the market recently. This is because the per GB cost that the year long plan provides is much less as compared to the other prepaid plans which come with short validity options. As such, the Rs 1,699 prepaid plan becomes an attractive offering in case you are looking for a long term solution for your prepaid number. Further, it saves you the hassle of recharging your number again and again. Over this, if the subscribers get additional 90 days validity benefit like in the case of BSNL, then the offering becomes even more attractive one.
