Reliance Jio has seen a turn-around in customer addition after losing several million users post-tariff hike. Before the tariff hikes, the telco was continuously adding new customers. In the report, Jio said, "Customer addition has rebounded to pre-tariff-hike levels in the exit month after transient SIM consolidation." Post this, it is safe to assume that Jio will continue to add subscribers given the past trends. Jio's mobile plans still come at a discount compared to what users have to pay for Airtel or Vodafone Idea's services.
Jio's net subscriber addition during the quarter stood at 3.3 million. The telco's monthly subscriber churn rate also reduced to 2%, which is one of the lowest in the industry. Jio's overall subscriber base stood at 482.1 million users at the end of Q3 FY25. The telco will again look to reach the milestone of 500 million users in the coming year.
